Restroom Ratings | Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum

Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum - Washington D.C.

Nice… as should be expected from a government institution. This rest room was kind of refreshing in that it reintroduced some old ideas that should never have gone away. I mean it’s great that there are the antiseptic Infrared people sensors that keep you from having to touch the flush handle with your hands, but before those were invented there were FLUSH PEDALS! Woo WOO! Motorcycle Kick-Start style flushers added some serious excitement back into the experience.

Other than that, the restroom was fairly clean, well stocked, and had a nice odor, as well as a comfortable ambient temperature.

On a personal note, if I had designed the restrooms in the Air & Space museum, I would have designed each restroom like the museum section it was in (Military-Style restrooms for the WWII and Sea-Air Operations section, Shuttle-Style Sucker tubes for the Space Shuttle section and so on…). But, alas…nobody asked me.
