Nestled on the McKenzie river in Springfield Oregon is a rather nice park. Lots of open fields, winding sidewalks flow through the hills, tall trees, a shallow wide river that attracts lots of ducks, and lots of BUMS and WINOS.
As a result children enjoying an afternoon at the nearby play ground are not able to utilize the facilities most of the time because they are locked. On the few occasions, when one finds the door open the stench and smell are overwhelming. Unflushed toilets full of feces, Urine soaked concrete, empty 40oz. bottles scattered around and if your lucky you may actually meet one of the many "bathroom attendants" that call the stall "home". After being asked for spare change (apparently the attendant wants a tip) or extra smokes you may find yourself taking your child behind a tree for relief and wishing this was a day the bathroom was locked.
