In the Bitterroot National Forest just off the Beartooth Highway is the most impressive pit toilet I have ever come across. It was very clean, and smelled good. There was even a table with various amenities, including tissues, hand sanitizers and reading material. There was a Tom Clancy novel, and various brochures.
