This campground is only open from July to August due to the fact this area is largely covered in snow most of the year. In July however, this year’s waste combined with the thawing of waste from years past combines to make one of the foulest smelling places on the face of the earth. Somehow it smells worse half frozen then when it was first deposited. I actually threw up on the door trying to get out. Here is a note to all. Please adhere to all regulations layed out by the state of Wyoming Game and Parks Commision. When camping or backpacking please dig a hole at least 36 inches deep no closer then 1000 feet from a water source. Cover the hole after use and you will be much happier than using this bathroom.

Another small note the campground at nash fork just a few miles south of this campground is much better. I don’t think they can get a truck with a pump up there because the roads aren’t very good. They dont empty this toilet but hey do let time and natural decay do their job for them.

Pull up a chair!

Feeling the pressure of a delicious breakfast move through me, I decided to relieve myself so that I may enjoy the quaint atmosphere of this wonderful restaurant. I approach the door to find it locked and the grunts of a passing "Huevos Eggingtons" in mid birth. I can’t wait that long and I really don’t want to ruin my meal by having to brave the midsts of a spicy breakfast dish. Wait… I remember an additional restrooms upstairs noted on a sign as I entered this establishment. With a casual saunter I find the door to the upstairs and begin the climb… not that I was counting but… geez 20 steps up… ah there it is nice handicapped sign inviting me and my fellow wheel bound friends in. Hey not bad, two urinals and a spacious stall that even has a window… what? a window? Don’t worry it isn’t frosted and the only people that can see in are the people that live in the apartment 4’ away. (from their window, hmm wonder who’s watching who?) Upon leaving I thought, hmm handicapped persons sure would have a difficult time pulling a chair up 20 stairs… lets see if there is an elevator down the back hal. Upon looking I find a steeper stair leading down into the alley. There looks to be an old hoist from the 30’s for hay next to the stairs. Perhaps that’s how they bring up the chair after they crawl up the stairs. My recommendations for wheel bound patrons – don’t eat the “Huevos Eggingtons” and go to the bathroom before you come here.
