Edie's
Fairmont, MN
Reviewed March 30th, 2004
This traditional small town cafe serves the best hashbrowns ever made. On our Sunday visit, both restrooms were clean and well stocked with the exception of one paper towel found on the floor in the women's. Each bathroom is designed for use of one person at a time only, which I always appreciate unless there's a line. And there wasn't a line at the time of our review visit, or on numerous other visits. The downside is that these bathrooms contain only the basics: one toilet, sink, mirror, trash can, etc. No art. No frills. This criticism is negligible, given the fact that Edie's does serve the best hashbrowns anywhere. However, as much as it pains me to do this, I am forced to subtract points for the lack of space in each bathroom. Even the sinks and mirrors seem miniaturized. Yet, when it comes down to cleanliness and privacy versus filth and more breathing room, I'll take the former every time.- Justin Teerlinck
