Dunn Bros. - Grand Ave.

St. Paul, MN

Reviewed June 1st, 2004

A sign on the wall next to the toilet of this unisex bathroom states: "Our Plumbling Is Very Sensitive Please try not to over stuff the toilet with toilet paper. Dunn Bros." But some bathroom users had their own thoughts written--literally--in between the lines of the sign above. One message sarcastically states: "Do not tease it. I may cry." Another is more direct: "Try Hiring A Real Plumber!!" Yet another states: "And only small BM's permitted!!"

I had no trouble flushing this waste receptacle (urine and sputum only) but found the bathroom somewhat dirty but functional and somehow welcoming on this review visit and on many other receational visits. Paper towels dispense. Toilet paper unrolls. A plunger rests beside a throne that sits upon a raised pedestal, making you feel like a queen, king--or at least a minor duke or dame--when perched upon it. What more do you want? Don't feel guilty about the size of your movement. Management is obviously aware of the toilet's temperamental nature, so if it overflows with ordinary use, its their problem. The bathroom sits at the bottom of a stairwall and around a corner, making your visit feel quiet and away from the chaos and loud, caffeinated conversation upstairs.
