St. Anthony Main Building

Minneapolis, MN

Sharing a restroom with several businesses in the same building can sometimes be a recipe for disaster. The marketing agency paying a skyhigh lease for a killer riverfront location adjacent to downtown may not always enjoy coming in Monday morning to see their restroom torn to shreds by the weekend bar crowd. Fortunately, things weren't TOO out of hand at this restroom - although there was quite a bit of heavily shredded paper towels on the floor in the mens bathroom. It was as if the Tasmanian Devil had a little spat leaving nothing but towel shrapnel behind as evidence.

Though initially a bit difficult to locate (perhaps partially attributed to the drink specials at the Aster Cafe), the small black signs eventually pointed me in the right direction of the men's and women's facilities. Being amply loaded with enough urinals, toilets and sinks to satisfy a small crowd calmed my initial fear of such a large building only having 2 restrooms (men's and women's that is) for the entire first floor. There was a slightly stale stench inside, but nothing that couldn't be fixed by a little air freshener or heavy ventilation.
