The Barbican Centre
London, United Kingdom
Reviewed August 11th, 2004
Visits to London, for people who live beyond its centre, can take various forms depending upon an individual's state of mind. A few examples of this include: the "Pop and Shop" where a purposeful aim is only achievable within the bounds of England's capital; the "Relaxed Meander" which may take in various forms of entertainment at such a pace as to say "I don't live here and don't want your stress levels thank you very much"; and the "Over Ambitious Gallery Day" where one completely throws intelligence to the wind in an attempt to consume more culture than is humanely digestible. While I can be certain that naively I had visited on a O.A.G.D. I can't remember what I was doing in the Barbican Centre, perhaps it may have been the JAM Digital event that happened a couple of years ago I'm not sure. Such days tend to involve lots of walking and eating on the hoof so it was with some enthusiasm that I approached the gentleman's facilities at the Barbican in search of a moments peace. It was immediately apparent to the senses as the door opened that this was no ordinary privy.
Everything before me indicated that there was no danger of an unwelcome advance through an improvised sex hole in the stalls. The air was clean and sweet and the gentle light that issued forth was so welcoming as to be akin to that witnessed by those temporary inhabitants of the Garden of Eden. Acres of Armitage Shanks spread out before me on either side with a subtle colouring that was both fresh and inviting. The stall doors used a colour reminiscent of the Overlook Hotel as a perfect highlight to these masculine surroundings.
I have issued an 8 simply because I reserve 9 for urinary Nirvana and 10 for the kind of facilities only available in God's own en suite bathroom. Highly Recommended.
