Lone Lake Park

Lone Lake Park

Minnetonka, MN

Reviewed August 13th, 2004

The last time I tried to use this restroom, there was a large-scale septic removal operation taking place, making not only the restroom but most of this small city park unusable. The smell alone was enough to make your nosehairs curl. Honestly it was the first time I actually SAW a smell - you know like on cartoons. Who knew there was hard scientific fact behind all those Bugs Bunny shorts? Fortunately for me and the dozens of other park patrons and disc-golf hippies, everything was cleared out and operating properly at the time of my next visit.

Energy conserving motion-sensor lights flicker to life as you enter the concrete structure. A steadily whirring fan circulated fresh air in from the surrounding trees and lake. While there where some obvious "grosseties" such as urine stains and whatnot, I was generally happy to be in a park restroom that not only had plumbing... but electricity also. And handsoap?! What did I ever do to deserve this?
