Rudolph's BBQ
Minneapolis, MN
Reviewed February 5th, 2005
When Rudolph's made an announcement last year bragging of their newly remodeled restrooms ("the best in the Twin Cities"), naturally it caught my eye. I must check this place out. It's always been in the back of my mind, but not being the hugest BBQ fan, I always put it off - until today. The first thing you notice when you find the restrooms - down a short narrow corridor near the kitchen or through a larger open doorway on the north - is the shared sink and mirror system for men and women. There is one gigantic room with the sink area and then 4 other doors labeled GENTS and LADIES. Two of each are handicapped accessible. Behind each solid door is a typical stall-sized room with just a toilet. The wall to wall tile and copper drop ceilings make for a rich and pleasant experience. Once you've done your duty, you may be greeted by members of the opposite sex as you wash up and primp, a somewhat foreign - almost disarming - affair. The main room (I guess it doubles as a waiting room also) is adorned with vintage movie posters and bright halogen lighting. The silestone sinks have unique electric eye faucets that were incredibly responsive.
