Spyhouse
Minneapolis, MN
Reviewed February 14th, 2005
Despite multiple warnings forbidding graffiti throughout this swank and comfortable coffee house, the restrooms sport more than their fair share of scratchings, scrawlings and scribbles. The men's room in particular features a locked janitor closet door emblazoned with the tag of likely every writer whose graced these premises. The mirror is also highly "decorated", though not so much that you can't see your own reflection. I might not go as far as to call it a graffiti problem however, as most of it is tasteful and it is segregated to distinct areas. The restrooms have a few other other notable features; the lofty ceilings lend a spacious feel to the experience and a double door lock (push button and deadbolt) ensures no one will be busting in on you. The toilet was a bit yellowed (not from age), but the sink was in immaculate shape.
