Because the showerhouse in the campground had not opened for the summer season, I relied on this restroom to meet all my indoor plumbing needs. From toileting and shaving to sponge baths, yanking out embedded wood ticks and filling our jugs from the sink tap with the only source of potable water, this bathroom was our little shelter, our safe harbor. It was like a Sacred Mother for the jaded, offering up nonjudgmental nourishment from supple teat to mouths of... well... I guess I'm not a "babe." Not unless a 29 year old hairy chubby infantile man can be considered a babe. Okay you're right. Maybe the teat metaphor was going a bit overboard too.Anyhow, this restroom offered me the rare opportunity to check out the women's since no womens were there while we were there. It was eerie, dark and silent. I felt as though I was trespassing on holy ground... until I saw that the women's had a nice, high tech blow dryer that actually produced heat while the men's didn't. Hey park people! No fair! My tender yet rough, strong and complicated Man Hands need a little loving over here. And how and I supposed to get my hair dried off after I wash all the nits out in the sink?
