Brooklyn Lake Campground
Centennial, WY
Reviewed April 5th, 2006
This campground is only open from July to August due to the fact this area is largely covered in snow most of the year. In July however, this year's waste combined with the thawing of waste from years past combines to make one of the foulest smelling places on the face of the earth. Somehow it smells worse half frozen then when it was first deposited. I actually threw up on the door trying to get out. Here is a note to all. Please adhere to all regulations layed out by the state of Wyoming Game and Parks Commision. When camping or backpacking please dig a hole at least 36 inches deep no closer then 1000 feet from a water source. Cover the hole after use and you will be much happier than using this bathroom.Another small note the campground at nash fork just a few miles south of this campground is much better. I don't think they can get a truck with a pump up there because the roads aren't very good. They dont empty this toilet but hey do let time and natural decay do their job for them.
