Tiburon

Tiburon

Minneapolis, MN

Teal tiles, an organic layout and a calming (and encouraging.. if you know what I mean) ocean wave soundtrack make for an overall wonderful restroom experience at this Caribbean-fusion restaurant. Ranked Best Public Restroom of 2003 by the local free newspaper, I came in with high expectations for this contender, especially after seeing the massive salt-water fish tank and euro-modern decor that is the focus of the interior design throughout the rest of the space. The restroom is definitely more reserved with conservative lighting and modest (but attractive) fixtures. On any given day, I would be quite impressed by style and cleanliness of this facility - thus the relatively high rating. However, it is by no means the BEST PUBLIC RESTROOM in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. Maybe throw in a shark tank (Tiburon is Spanish for shark after all), some colored spotlights and some more miscellaneous effects and I might be willing to change my mind.

RESTROOM RATING: 9
